Qi Gong

With Rosey Grandage

Classes teaching simple exercises, stretches and meditation techniques. Qi gong is an ancient Chinese system of self-treatment based on the idea that the body is formed of both physical and energetic (qi) aspects. The exercises help to rebalance the body on both levels and to connect with the energy of nature and the world on a wider scale. This is a deep and effective form of self-treatment and relaxation.

Suitable for all levels.

Fridays 9.30 – 10.30am
£60 for five classes
£15 for single class

Wednesday 7 – 8pm Once a month. For practitioners and students of Chinese medicine – come and practice qi gong, discuss qi, diagnosis and treatments.

Yoga & Pilates

'During my classes I want to give people the opportunity to connect with the present - creating space and mobility in their bodies and mind. Through my teaching I like to share, with simplicity and kindness, my passion for yoga. I work with each person as a whole and an individual - Yoga is accessible to everyone even though we are all different.'
Marie’s practice and teaching combines Yoga with Pilates, both of which are known for their health benefits :Stress relief; Increased flexibility; Strength; Control
While yoga has an emphasis on the spiritual side, using the breath, movement, meditation....; Pilates is more physical, focusing on the core, our ‘Powerhouse’ I’m using Pilates in my yoga practice to integrate the core muscles and that helps to the balance if the body and possibly the mind...’

Yoga

’ With Laura McCluskey

Hatha trained, with Kundalini touches, Laura specialises in breath work to enable us to meditate in these stressful times; and to release positive hormones to make us feel good.
Classes begin with relaxation, leaving behind your busy day, moving on to stretches and a flow of yoga postures and ending with meditative relaxation and breathwork. All practise will be aimed at mixed levels - from complete beginners to those with more experience who want to be challenged.
Laura’s extensive experience in studios, prisons and colleges allows her to respond to both the individuals’ needs and the group energy. She has worked with ages 3-70. Laura’s yoga teaching is informed by her theatre practice, bringing a spontaneity and creativity to her classes.

‘Awareness Through Movement’ with the Feldenkrais Method

The Feldenkrais Method is a unique approach that helps you move and live in your body with greater ease and awareness.  These classes can help with your mobility, posture, breathing, coordination and overall sense of wellbeing.

They can also relieve back pain, joint pain and other injuries.

The method understands there is a relationship between our mind, body and feelings. And as we become easier in our bodies and in movement, we can feel more at home in ourselves and at the same time, we can experience fresher vitality!

Classes are suitable for everyone and all levels of fitness welcome.
